For years I thought making a movie required one big investor writing a massive check.
But the more time I spent in the film industry, the more I realized something: movies are never made by one person. They’re made by a community.
That’s the idea behind Highwater.
Instead of waiting for one wealthy investor to fund our film So You Want to Marry My Daughter, we’re inviting 100 people to build it together. Each person becomes part of the founding community that helps greenlight the film and launch a new Christian film studio.
In this week’s Highwater Live, I talk about why this approach might actually be the future of faith-based filmmaking—and why I believe God often starts things small before they grow into something much bigger.
To watch the full episode, go to YouTube and search:
“How 100 People Are Greenlighting A Christian Movie”
We’re asking people to watch the full episode there instead of embedding it here. When people only watch a few seconds from a newsletter click, it actually hurts the YouTube algorithm and makes it harder for new people to discover Highwater.
If the vision resonates with you, I’d love for you to consider becoming part of the Highwater 100.
