This morning I had a powerful Zoom call with actor/producer Robert Amaya about So You Want To Marry My Daughter… and for the first time in a long time, it feels like something is shifting.

We talked about faith, filmmaking, family, and how authentic relationships are still the heartbeat of great movies. Robert reminded me that “relationships are everything,” and that’s exactly where Highwater is heading next.

This summer we’re launching Film Fellowship in Wilsonville every Thursday night — a place for filmmakers, actors, dreamers, families, and anyone curious about storytelling to gather in community. No experience needed. Just come hungry for creativity, fellowship, and purpose.

We also spent time dreaming about the movie itself — the laughs, the emotional father/daughter moments, and why we believe this story is more timely now than ever.

The reel above captures the exact heart behind this movie: young love, family, laughter, memories, and the beauty of letting go as a father. It’ll make you smile.

If you believe in what we’re building, we’d love for you to join the Highwater family as a:

Believer — pray, follow, share the journey
Backer — financially support the mission
Builder — help us physically make these films together

We’re believing that once 100 people stand with us monthly, we’ll officially greenlight production on So You Want To Marry My Daughter.

Let’s build something beautiful together.
