Filming days are loud.
People arriving.
Wardrobe getting set.
Lights going up.
Actors finding their rhythm.
A table full of food (always important).
And before anything else… we pray.
Because we’ve learned something the hard way—and the beautiful way:
When we start with God, everything flows.
On our last film, we saw it.
Not once. Not occasionally.
Every day.
Moments where we looked at each other and said,
“Okay God… what are You going to do now?”
And He showed up.
Right now feels different.
Quieter. Slower.
This isn’t a filming day.
This is a season of waiting.
Waiting on God.
Waiting on the right timing.
Waiting on Sophia Amaya to turn 18.
Waiting on the right people—the Highwater Founders—to find us.
And if we’re honest…
Some people have stopped giving.
Some have quietly stepped away.
Some have given up on us.
But we haven’t.
Because we’ve been here before.
There were moments on set when the plan wasn’t complete.
When we didn’t have every answer.
When things didn’t come together the way we thought they would.
And still…
God showed up.
So we’re not panicking.
We’re pressing in.
We’re not forcing it.
We’re waiting expectantly.
Not sitting back.
Not checked out.
But like a rope pulled tight in a tug of war—
engaged, ready, leaning forward…
Expecting God to move again.
And we believe this:
We are right on time.
You might notice something shifting.
We’re moving our focus offline—into real rooms, real conversations, real community.
We’re starting with something simple:
An Open Cast and Crew Call in Portland
Not just to find talent.
But to find people.
People who want to laugh on set again.
People who want to build something meaningful together.
People who believe stories can still point people to Jesus.
So here’s what we’re asking:

It matters more than you think.
